A vibration measurement system for measuring vibrations of an object the system comprises: an imaging device to capture images of the object at a plurality of time intervals, means for providing the images in digital format, means for extracting the position of one or more points of the object at the plurality of time intervals, calculation means configured to calculate the displacement of the object at the point(s) at each of the plurality of time intervals. The imaging device may be a high speed digital video camera and a plot of displacement against time generated. A Fourier Transform of this plot may be used to indicate the frequency of vibration. |
