PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store generation power of a power generation device even at the time of power failure.SOLUTION: A power generation system comprises: power generation facilities 2 comprising a first PCS 21a that converts DC power generated by a power generation device 10 to AC power and outputs the AC power after conversion to a power system 15 side and a photovoltaic power generation device 10; a second PCS 21b that is connected between the first PCS 21a and a power system 15, converts the DC power stored in storage devices 20 for storing power to the AC power, outputs the AC power upstream, converts the AC power acquired to the DC power, causes the DC power to be stored in the storage devices 20 and performs stand-alone operation; load facilities 11; a first switching section 23 that is provided between the second PCS 21b and the power system 15 and switches between connection and non-connection between the power generation device 10 and the power system 15; and control means 22 that brings the first switching section 23 into a non-connection state, separates the power generation device 10 and the power system 15 from each other and causes the second PCS 21b to perform the stand-alone operation when power failure occurs. |
