PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which can easily exhaust gas that is generated in an electrode group outside the battery.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes: a battery case having one closed end and the other opened end; an electrode group which is stored in the battery case and has a center hole; a projected plate arranged on one end side of the electrode group; and a safety valve disposed on the other end side of the battery case. The projected plate includes a projection connected to one end of the battery case in a position corresponding to the center hole, and a side hole is formed on a side of the projection, and an outer peripheral hole at an outer peripheral section. Thus, gas exhausted from one closed end side of the battery case passes through the outer peripheral hole of the projected plate, passes through a gap at one end side of the battery case, passes through the side hole of a side of the projection in the projected plate, passes through a hollow part of a middle core, passes through a cleavage part of the safety valve and can be exhausted to the other end side of the battery case. |
