PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a ribbon cassette and an image-forming device compact. SOLUTION: In the ribbon cassette body 10, a feeding section 11 of a film ribbon feeding side formed in a general cylindrical shape and a winding section 12 of the winding side of the film ribbon are formed so as to be integrated via a coupling section 13. A positioning hole 124 into which the positioning pin of the image-forming device mentioned hereinafter can be inserted is formed in the end face 123 which is an upper portion of the winding section 12 and the distal end side in an inserting direction of the ribbon cassette 1. An uneven section 125 as a kind discriminating means for discriminating the kind of the incorporated film ribbon is arranged in the end portion of the side which is the side face 122 of the winding section 12 and where the inserting hole 122 is formed.
