PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup mounting device capable of enhancing visibility of an outer peripheral edge of a lens and a boundary part of a small-lens of a double-focus lens, and a pattern plate to be used in the device. SOLUTION: In this cup mounting device, a cup is mounted by observing the lens LE lighted by diffused illuminating light having a larger diameter than that of a spectacle lens LE and aligning the lens LE with a cup mounting reference axis in a prescribed positional relation. The mounting device is provided with the pattern plate 80 arranged in an optical path of the diffused illuminating light on a lower side of the lens LE. In the pattern plate 80, a deviation is generated in continuity of the pattern observed in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge in an inside region of the lens LE by refractive power that the lens LE has in relation to the pattern having continuity and at least formed in a region widened from the inside of the edge to the outside to confirm the edge of the lens LE and a circumferential direction region required for confirmation of the edge and observed in the outside region of the lens LE by the diffused illuminating light.
