PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ironing dies with which the deterioration in the quality of a product can which is caused by collision of the can with a pilot ring can be prevented, also the distance between mutual cans can be shortened and the pilot ring is suitable thereto. SOLUTION: In the ironing dies 33, 35, 37 with which ironing is applied to a work by supporting a die 63 with a holder 61, putting a blind cylindrical work over the tip of a punch sleeve arranged on the same axis as the die 63, advancing the punch sleeve toward the die 63 and forcing the work into the inside of the die 63, the holder 61 is provided with the pilot ring 65 having a through-hole the inside diameter of which is approximately the same as that of the through-hole of the die 63 on the same axis on the outlet side in the forcing direction of the die 63 and the pilot ring 65 has a tapered surface which is gradually expanded toward the direction of the outlet on the outlet side in the press-in direction of the through-hole.
