PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for acquiring more accurate information on excellent trees for planting more easily.SOLUTION: A method for forming a new plantation in a place where trees of plantation are fell includes: (a) a process for specifying trees which are better grown than other trees in a plantation before the trees are felled down; (b) a process for picking a part of tissue of the trunk of the individual trees which are better grown than other trees; (c) a process for extracting DNA from the part of the picked tissue; (d) a process for specifying clones of the trees which are better grown than other trees by parts characteristic enough to specify the clones from parts of base arrangement in the DNA; and (e) a process for felling trees in the plantation and planting nursery plants of races which are the same clones as the specified clones in the plantation after felling.
