PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus which is capable of setting the setting values of processing setting items while using an image reading means. SOLUTION: A multifunction machine 10 comprises setting dials 30 such as a mode setting dial 31 for switching and setting operating modes of copy, scan, fax and the like, a paper size setting dial 32 for setting a paper size, a density setting dial 33 for setting a density, and the like.
