PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recording a picture capable of preventing the failure in picture recording in consideration of the state of a power supply. SOLUTION: The state of the power supply for a first device 2 for recording the picture is detected first, and a power is changed over so as to supply the first device 2 for recording the picture with the power by an internal battery 23 when there is no supply of the power from an external power supply 22. When the power supply supplying the first device 2 for recording the picture with the power is changed over to the internal battery 23, a picture-recording reservation information is transferred to a second device 3 for recording the picture through a network 1. The second device 3 for recording the picture holds the picture-recording reservation information transferred from the first device 2 for recording the picture, and carries out the picture recording by reserved contents at a reserved time. According to such a constitution, the failure of the picture recording because of a battery-up can be prevented by transferring a picture-recording information to the second device 3 for recording the picture even when an AC adapter or the like is not connected to the first device 2 for recording the picture and there is no supply of the power from the external power supply 22.
