PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fillet weld structure that can make retention of braking torque during braking compatible with high durability compatible inexpensively by making a flank angle larger in a weld toe with a simple configuration, namely, at a low cost and being applied to the fillet welding of a brake flange to an axle case, and also to provide a fillet welding method. SOLUTION: This is a fillet weld structure formed by fillet-welding of a second member 4 to a first member 3. In a part or all of the fillet weld zone of at least one member 3 of the first and second members 3, 4, there is formed along a welding direction a slope 10 that is made higher as it comes closer to a weld root 1, with the welding performed in the manner that the toe 8 of the weld bead 7 is situated in the middle of the slope 10.
