<p>A honeycomb structure having a honeycomb unit containing an inorganic particulate, an inorganic binder and an inorganic fiber, which honeycomb unit has the configuration of multiple cells extending from one end face to the other end face along the longitudinal direction thereof partitioned by a cell wall. The honeycomb structure is characterized in that the degree of orientation of the inorganic fiber in the a-axis direction parallel to the direction of extension of the cells is 0.5 or below.</p> |
