<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new vaccine usable in both of treatment and prevention of diseases caused by flavivirus, and to provide a diagnostic drug and a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The nucleic acid containing a transcriptional unit (TU) of an immunogenic flavivirus antigen is provided. The TU directs the synthesis of the antigen to a host cell after being taken in the cell. The flavivirus can be another any flavivirus such as yellow fever virus (YFV), dengue serotype 1 virus (DEN-1), dengue serotype 2 virus (DEN-2), dengue serotype 3 virus (DEN-3), dengue serotype 4 virus (DEN-4), St. Louis encephalitis virus (SLEV), Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), West Nile virus (WNV) and Powassan virus in an important situation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
