Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a method and device for establishing associative relationships between terminal devices. The method comprises: receiving, by a server, requests for establishing associative relationships between two or more terminal devices, the requests being triggered by performing the same preset operation on the two or more terminal devices simultaneously; the requests carry operation characteristic information the terminal devices have when the preset operation is performed thereon; comparing similarities of the operation characteristic information between the terminal devices; if a similarity of the operation characteristic information between the two or more terminal devices satisfies a preset condition, determining an associative relationship is present between the two or more terminal devices. The embodiments of the present application can establish the associative relationship between different terminal devices using the operation characteristic information with a higher accuracy and improved security during a matching process.
