PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism that can assimilate alginic acid, and a method for producing a target substance by using the microorganism by a fermentation method.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a target substance in which a genus Vibrio bacterium that has a target substance production ability and alginic acid assimilation ability is cultured in culture medium containing a carbon source obtained from seaweed, the target substance is created and accumulated in the culture medium, and the target substance is recovered from the culture medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
