PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conditioner comprising a control portion 8 that closes a protective relay 7 for parallel-off, provided between output portions of power conversion portions 4 and 5 and a power system 3, by outputting driving voltages to the relay, in which the control portion 8 detects that the protective relay 7 is not closed regardless of the output of the driving voltages and determines that the protective relay 7 is abnormal, which is prevented from wrongly determining that the protective relay 7 is abnormal based on the fact that working voltages of the protective relay 7 are rising under a high temperature situation right after the parallel off.SOLUTION: The power conditioner, when detecting that the protective relay 7 is not closed regardless of output of driving voltages, does not determine that the protective relay 7 is abnormal until predetermined conditions are satisfied while interrupting the output of the driving voltages intermittently or continuously, and if the protective relay 7 is not closed even when the driving voltages are outputted to the relay after the predetermined conditions are satisfied, determines that the protective relay is abnormal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
