Novel polypeptides, polynucleotides encoding them, materials and methods for making them, antibodies that specifically bind to them, and methods of using the polypeptides, polynucleotides, and antibodies are disclosed. The polypeptides comprise at least nine contiguous amino acid residues of SEQ ID NO:2 and may be prepared as polypeptide fusions comprising heterologous sequences, such as affinity tags. The polypeptides and polynucleotides encoding them may be used within a variety of therepeutic, diagnostic, and research applications, including <i>in vitro</i> diagnosis and <i>in vivo</i> imaging of cancers and other sites of abnormal cell proliferation.
