METHOD FOR PROVIDING GLOBAL SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE

A method for transmitting a short message between countries is provided to allow an SMS(Short Message Service) between different languages so that a user can simply input a foreign language and transmit it as a short message without using a complicated infrastructure. An operating server is connected to download a language DB of each language, a function and a control program so as to be installed in a transmission MS(Mobile Station). The transmission MS executes a foreign language input program, selects a foreign language to be inputted, inputs a message according to the selected foreign language, adds a number of a reception MS, and transmits a text message to the operating server. The operating server transmits the text message and the number of the reception MS to an SMS center of a reception country. The text message is transferred to the reception MS through a wired/wireless transmission path.
