PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid seal breakage of an adhesive on laminating display substrates on which a liquid crystal is dropped. SOLUTION: Sealants (adhesives) 2, 21 to 23 are applied to both substrates 1A, 1B opposing to each other in such a manner that the sealants are aligned and overlap each other when the substrate are laminated. Therefore, the both substrates 1A, 1B are strongly laminated by the strong adhesive force between the adhesives. Durability of the sealants against a pressure difference between inside and outside is enhanced in a shift from a vacuum state to an atmospheric pressure by forming double or triple closed curved lines of the sealants; a high-quality cell gap is made uniform while avoiding seal breakage; and the production yield of a liquid crystal display panel can be improved.
