PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein time and labor are required for managing the working conditions of columns, that speedy processing and automation have been difficult, and that operation simplification for acquiring column information and an energy saving property have been lacking. SOLUTION: As a solving means, a data storage medium may at times be, for example, mounted on a column. Specifically, the setting of analysis conditions at a data processing device; the update of update history information and column information (column ID, final date of use, filling solution, pressure, sample name, theoretical plate numbers, etc.) and writing/reading to and from the data storage medium are performed by each analysis. As other characteristics, the column is provided with a display part on which operators can visually recognize the data recorded in the data storage medium through the use of an LCD device and a rewritable card (rewrite card), such as, a PET card and a plastic card.
