PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor capable of preventing vibration of a temperature sensitive element inside a cover when being used, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor 1 has the temperature sensitive element 2 whose electric characteristic is changed according to a temperature; a built-in sheath pin 3 in the state where a pair of signal wires 31 connected respectively to a pair of electrodes 21 of the temperature sensitive element 2 is exposed to the tip side; the cover 4 disposed on the tip part to cover the temperature sensitive element 2; and a filling material 5 filled between the temperature sensitive element 2 and the cover, for holding and fixing the temperature sensitive element 2.
