PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine capable of promptly selecting a desired needle insertion point from a plurality of needle insertion points of sewing data. SOLUTION: An operation panel 20 that the sewing machine M includes a display part 22 for displaying a stitch shape composed of the plurality of needle insertion points P in the sewing data and a touch panel 21 for detecting a touch position to the display screen of the display part 22. On the basis of the touch position detected by the touch panel 21, some needle insertion points P within a prescribed distance from the touch position are selected from the plurality of needle insertion points P displayed at the display part (pattern display area 221), and the desired needle insertion point P is narrowed down and selected from the selected needle insertion points P.
