<p>A video processing device performs a noise reduction process on a video signal taken from an imaging system. The video processing device comprises a separation-extraction unit (111) for separating the video signal into a luminance signal and a color signal and sequentially extracting a region having a predetermined size, a representative luminance calculation unit (113) for calculating, based on the luminance signal in the extracted region, a representative luminance value in the region, a representative hue calculation unit (112) for calculating, based on the color signal in the region, a representative hue value in the region, a color noise estimation unit (114) for estimating, based on the representative luminance value and the representative hue value, a color noise amount, and a color noise reduction unit (115) for performing, based on the estimated color noise amount, a color noise reduction process on the color signal in the region.</p> |
