PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in estimating atmospheric pressure from intake pressure downstream of a throttle valve, in an engine having a supercharger.SOLUTION: When opening (throttle opening) of a throttle valve arranged in an intake pipe of an engine becomes a substantially full opening state of predetermined opening or more, over a time period up to a time point at which a predetermined time 2 required for that an intake pressure becomes greater than the atmospheric pressure by supercharging has elapsed, from a time point at which a predetermined time 1 required for that the intake pressure downstream of the throttle valve becomes the vicinity of the atmospheric pressure has elapsed, an average value of the intake pressure detected by an intake pressure sensor is calculated. When the predetermined time 2 elapses from a time point at which the throttle opening becomes the substantially full opening state, the atmospheric pressure is estimated by regarding the average value of the intake pressure as the atmospheric pressure.
