The invention relates to a system for cooling (1) an air flow, in particular for a motor vehicle, including: at least one unit (3) for nebulising a nebulisation liquid into the air flow, at least one store (13) of said liquid, and at least two channels (9, 11) for circulating said liquid, said system (1) also comprising: at least one pumping device for drawing said liquid in a first direction from said store (13) towards the nebulisation unit (3), in order to prime said circuit, and for drawing said liquid in a second direction (Sb) from the nebulisation unit (3) to said store (13) or out of said circuit, so as to drain said circuit.
