PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide paper for book having light weight, less in striking-through and returning after page turning and excellent in transportability.SOLUTION: There is provided paper for book having pulp and a filler, where at least one kind of the pulp is softwood pulp having Canadian modified freeness of 200 ml to 550 ml, the content of the softwood pulp is 20 mass% to 50 mass% based on the pulp, at least one of the filler is titanium oxide, content of the titanium oxide is 50 mass% or more based o the filler, the ash content is 15 mass% to 40 mass%, basis weight is 30 g/mto 50 g/mand a Clark rigidity is 60 cm/100 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
