PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot-operated bicycle that can easily be moved with less torque than a conventional foot-operated bicycle.SOLUTION: A foot-operated bicycle 1 comprises: a body frame 2; a wheel 3 having an annular rim 3a and a plurality of rim teeth 3b circumferentially provided on the outer periphery of the rim 3a; a kick rod 6 one end of which is provided with a foot pedal 5 and the other end of which is pivotally attached to the center shaft R1 of the wheel 3 or the body frame 2 near the center shaft R1; a guide member 7 attached to the body frame 2; and a wheel drive rod 8 engaged with the guide member 7 so as to be slidable along its center shaft and also engaged with the kick rod 6 so as to move along the center shaft in conjunction with movement of the kick rod 6 resulting from a foot pedaling operation. The wheel drive rod 8 has a drive pawl that rotates and drives the wheel 3 by pushing the rim teeth 3b in a tangential direction of the wheel 3 in conjunction with movement of the kick rod 6 resulting from a foot pedaling operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
