PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in a vertical battery having a positive electrode and negative electrode on a top plate, according to a technology disclosed in the specification, obtain satisfactory power generation performance and prevent short circuit of a support plate inserted in the middle of a coil electrode body.SOLUTION: A battery 2 comprises a coil electrode 10, and a support plate 21 inserted in the middle of the flat coil electrode. A plurality of power collection tabs 12a extend upwards from the upper end of a positive electrode sheet on both sides of a center line CL. The plurality of collection tabs 12 are collected and connected to a positive electrode terminal 30. The lower end of a negative electrode sheet of the coil electrode 10 is connected to the support plate 21. The upper end of the support plate 21 is provided with a lead part 21a, and the lead part 21a is fixed to the negative electrode terminal 20. In the breadth range of the power collection tabs 12a, as viewed from a short-side direction, the upper end of the support plate 21 is located between the upper end of the active substance application area of the positive electrode sheet and the upper end of the active substance application area of the negative electrode sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
