The magnetic bearing arrangement consists of mutually-concentrically arranged annular magnet stacks (5-8), in which the positionally-fixed stack (5 or 7) is arranged outside, and the rotating stack (6 or 8) is arranged on the inside. Damping devices (32) are assigned to the external peripheral surfaces of at least one part of the magnetic rings of the respective stator-side annular magnetic stack (5,7), and consists of non-magnetizable, effectively electrically-conducting material.
