PURPOSE: A system for providing a video call additional service and a method thereof are provided to enable a receiving terminal to transmit a video call connecting message preset by a receiver while connecting the video call to a originating terminal, and to transmit a manner mode image to the originating terminal after the completion of the connection, thereby preventing an originator from being bored while waiting a call connection, and protecting the privacy of the receiver while calling. CONSTITUTION: An originating terminal originates a call to a mobile communication system to make a call with a receiving terminal. The mobile communication system transmits a destination number included in the call to a video call additional service managing server. The video call additional service managing server receives the destination number, and decides whether the destination number is registered for a video call additional service. If so, the mobile communication system transmits a video call connecting message to the originating terminal. When a call is performed between the originating terminal and the receiving terminal, the video call additional service managing server confirms whether a manner mode image is preset. If so, the mobile communication system transmits the manner mode image preset by the receiver to the originating terminal. |
