<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel display type television for quickly sensing that a main power source is stopped with a low-cost configuration, and to provide a drive controller. <P>SOLUTION: A pulse signal is generated with a pulse signal generation circuit 55 on the basis of alternating voltage without performing processing of direct current to the alternating voltage after rectifying in a power source circuit 50 and the pulse signal is input to an AD input port of a microcomputer 60. The microcomputer 60 exceeds a reference period and determines that main power source supply is stopped when input of the pulse signal is not continuously sensed. As the result, a sensing speed of supply stoppage of the main power source is speedy by being compared with the conventional performing conversion processing to direct.
