<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance effectively flexibility of network system architecture. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 19 controls an optical switch 12 having a third connection interface to which LAN switches 15a, 15b having a first connection interface, servers 16a to 16c, 17a to 17c, 18a to 18c having a second connection interface and/or a storage device are connected via the above connection interfaces.
