PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glow plug with a combustion pressure sensor having a reduced size than conventional ones, capable of accurately performing pressure detection. SOLUTION: This glow plug 300 with the combustion pressure sensor is equipped with a housing 1 formed in a substantially cylindrical shape that is composed by connecting a tip end side housing 2 to a rear end side housing 3. A pressure detecting mechanism 10 is stored inside the tip end side housing 2. The pressure detecting mechanism 10 is equipped with a pressure detecting element 12 fixed to a base 11 and a pressure transmitting mechanism 20. A tip end face of the pressure transmitting mechanism 20 is a pressure receiving face 21 and a rear end face of the pressure transmitting mechanism 20 is a pressing face 22 for pressing the pressure detecting element 12. The base 11 including the pressure detecting element 12, and the pressure transmitting mechanism 20 are connected by a connecting member 30 and are integrated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
