PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive supporting stud for a high-temperature furnace heat insulating block not having the form of a round bar, a square bar or a pipe, and not inferior in heat resistance and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: In this supporting stud for supporting a heating element through an insulator by being projected from a furnace wall or inserted from a surface at a furnace internal space side of the heat insulating block in a state of supporting a heat insulating block itself made of ceramic fiber and lining the furnace wall of the high-temperature furnace such as an electric furnace and various combustion furnaces, a stud main body 2 excluding at least a furnace wall mounting portion, and a retainer or insulator mounting portion is constituted by a channel member formed by bending thin strips of stainless steel plate into the roughly U-shaped cross section along a longitudinal axis, and is used in a state that an opening side of the rough U-shape is downward. One end portion of the stud main body 2 is provided with a round-bar pin 5 attached to the furnace wall, and the other end portion is provided with a round-bar pin 6 for attaching the retainer or the insulator.
