PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered roller bearing capable of lowering cost and improving seizure resistance by smoothening a flow of lubrication oil toward between a large end surface of a tapered roller and a roller guide surface of a large rib of an inner ring. SOLUTION: The tapered roller bearing has an inner ring 10, an outer ring 20, the plurality of tapered rollers 30, and a cage 40. The cage 40 has a large diameter-side annular section 41, a small diameter-side annular section 42, and a plurality of pillar sections 44 connecting both the annular sections, demarcating and forming pockets respectively retaining the plurality of tapered rollers 30. The plurality of pillar sections 44 are constructed to close a space region between adjacent tapered rollers 30 with their radially inner surfaces 45 provided closer to the center than an arrangement pitch circle A of the plurality of tapered rollers 30 and with their radially outer surfaces 46 provided near a raceway surface 21 of the outer ring 20.
