PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain damping force depending on the position of a compression stroke in a spring built-in type only by adding simple structure without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: This front fork comprises a vehicle body side tube 1; an axle side tube 2 slidably inserted to the vehicle body side tube 1; a guide rod 3; a spring holder 4; a suspension spring 6 for energizing in the vehicle body side tube 1 elongation direction all the time; and a lower inner oil chamber R and an upper gas chamber G separately defined inside the vehicle body side tube 1 and axle side tube 2, respectively. An outer oil chamber 7 is demarcated between the inner periphery of the vehicle body side tube 1 and the outer periphery of the axle side tube 2, and a plurality of orifices 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 8e connecting the inner oil chamber R and the outer oil chamber 7 are provided at intervals in the axle side tube 2 along the axial direction.
