PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which is made environmentally friendly by using natural materials as raw materials as much as possible and has an improved rolling resistance and an improved wet performance. SOLUTION: The tire rubber composition comprises 100 pts.wt. diene rubber comprising≥70 pts.wt. natural rubber (NR) and≤30 pts.wt. terminally modified styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber (SBR), 50-100 pts.wt. silica having a BET specific surface area of≤140 m<SP>2</SP>/g and 10-50 pts.wt. aromatic vinyl-modified terpene resin having a softening point of >100°C. The rubber composition comprises≥80 wt.% non-petroleum raw materials. A pneumatic tire using the same is also provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
