In one embodiment, a method includes electronically prompting, in response to a triggering event, a participant connected to a conference session via a corresponding endpoint device to enter an affirmative response in order to continue attending the conference session. The participant is disconnected from the conference session in the event that the affirmative response is not received within a predetermined time period.
