PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for suppressing occurrence of breakage or cracking in the heater body where a lead and a pad are formed.SOLUTION: In a ceramic heater including a heater body 102 formed of insulating ceramic, a heat element 141 embedded in the heater body 102, and an electrode pad 121 arranged on the outer surface of the heater body 102, and connected electrically with the heat element 141, the heat element 141 has a rear end side lead 143c arranged in the projection domain S of the electrode pad 121, and narrower than the width D of the electrode pad 121 over the whole area of the projection domain S, a tip side lead 143a arranged closer to the tip side than the rear end side lead 143c, and wider than the width C of the rear end side lead 143c, and a heating part 142 arranged closer to the tip side than the tip side lead 143a, and narrower than the width B of the tip side lead 143a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
