PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device able to uniformly illuminate an illumination face even if an optical axis is disposed obliquely with respect to the illumination face.SOLUTION: In an illuminating device, a light incident face 35 and a light emission face 36 are asymmetrical in shape, i.e., one face different from the other face in shape, in a cross-section in the thickness direction of a lens 34a, with respect to straight lines A, B passing through corresponding vertexes 35a and 36a and orthogonal to the tangents at the vertexes. The light incident face 35 has such a shape with respect to the straight line A that a left face 35b inclines more than a right face 35c with respect to the bottom of the lens 34a and is greater than the right face 35c in terms of light diffusion. The light incident face 36 has such a shape with respect to the straight line B that a right face 36c inclines more than a left face 36b with respect to the bottom of the lens 34a and is greater than the right face 36b in terms of light diffusion. |
