Provided are a touch module, an electronic device including the same, and an operation method thereof, capable of accurately determining a touch state. One embodiment of the present invention relates to the electronic device including the touch module, which includes: an external housing including a transparent plate; a display panel which is at least partially exposed through the transparent plate; a touch panel disposed inside the external housing; a memory; and a processor electrically connected to the memory. The memory stores instructions which, when executed, allow the processor to receive first data including an input sensed by a first manner through the touch panel, receive second data including an input sensed by a second manner different from the first manner through the touch panel, compare the first data with the second data, and determine whether an object makes direct contact with the at least part of the display panel, moves close within a selected distance without making contact with the at least part of the display panel, or whether a fluid makes contact with the at least part of the display panel, based on at least a part of a comparison result. The present invention is not limited to the configuration as described above in one embodiment, and other embodiments are possible. |
