The purpose of the present invention is to improve B1 inhomogeneity while reducing local SAR of a subject, in particular, a human tissue during MR imaging. The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus according to the present invention is characterized in that when an imaging sequence for applying an RF magnetic field to a subject is performed while controlling a plurality of illumination channels on the basis of RF shimming parameters corresponding to the illumination channels, the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus uses RF shimming parameters determined under the condition that one or more of a plurality of principal components obtained by a principal component analysis of RF shimming parameters are constrained. |
