PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parthenocarpic controlling gene, and utilization thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided a parthenocarpic controlling gene contains any one of polynucleotides below, and utilization thereof. (1) a polynucleotide which codes a specific amino acid sequence, (2) a polynucleotide which codes an amino acid sequence having 70% or more of sequence identity to a specific amino acid sequence, (3) a polynucleotide which codes an amino acid sequence in which 1 to 87 of amino acid are substituted of the like in a specific amino acid sequence, and (4) a polynucleotide which codes a polynucleotide that hybridizes a polynucleotide consisting of a sequence complementary to the polynucleotide described in (1) under a stringent condition, and codes a polypeptide having parthenocarpic control activity.
