The present invention includes: a step for preparing a first member (2) comprising a first metal, and a second member (3) comprising a second metal having a smaller deformation resistance than the first metal; and a step for joining the first member (2) and the second member (3). The step for joining the first member (2) and the second member (3) includes: a step for positioning the second member (3) inside a cavity (10) of a mold (93); a step for pressing the first member (2) against the second member (3), and relatively rotating said members around the axis of rotation without changing the relative positional relationship with respect to the second member (3), thereby heating the first member (2) and the second member (3); and a step for cooling the first member (2) and the second member (3) with said members being in contact with each other. In the step for positioning the second member (3), the second member (3) is positioned such that a second member contact surface (3A) is surrounded by the sidewall (12) of the cavity (10); thus a structure in which the members comprising different metals are directly and firmly joined to each other is obtained. |
