PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably impart brake force to a vehicle by an engine brake during execution of full closing control by prohibiting execution of free run control when the full closing control is executed.SOLUTION: A control device of a vehicle comprises: obstacle detection means for detecting an obstacle; collision determination means for determining whether or not there is a possibility of collision of own vehicle with the obstacle; full closing control means for executing full closing control for fully closing a throttle valve of an engine when there is the possibility of the collision of the own vehicle with the obstacle; engagement means for enabling power transmission from the engine to driving wheels by means of engagement and disconnecting the power transmission by means of releasing; and free run control means for executing free run control for stopping the engine and disconnecting the power transmission by the engagement means during traveling of the own vehicle. In the control device of the vehicle, the free run control means prohibits the free run control when the full closing control means executes the full closing control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
