PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system which can properly use a plurality of printing systems in association with a game.SOLUTION: A game system 1 generates a character card KC on which information on a parameter indicating each character of a game is printed. The game system 1 includes a printer PR which generates a normal character card KC1 and a special character card KC2 as character cards KC by printing the information on a parameter on backing paper BM through a normal printing system and a special printing system generating mutually-different visual effects in printing results. The game system 1 decides the printing system to be executed by the printer PR out of the normal printing system and the special printing system on the basis of the presence/absence of use of a specific item IT, and controls the printer PR so as to generate the normal character card KC1 or the special character card KC2 on the basis of the decided normal printing system or special printing system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
