Disclosed is a measurement method. The method comprises: a terminal acquires a first image comprising a to-be-measured object by means of a first camera, and acquires a second image comprising the to-be-measured object by means of a second camera, the first camera and the second camera being disposed on a same plane; compare positions of the to-be-measured object in the first image and the second image, so as to obtain the total of position offsets of the to-be-measured object; and receive a measurement point selection instruction input by a user according to the first image, and calculate the distance between selected measurement points according to the total of the position offsets, the distance between the center of the first camera and the center of the second camera and the focal distance of the first camera. Also disclosed is a terminal. By using the present invention, the size of a to-be-measured object can be simply and conveniently measured by using a terminal having dual cameras.
