PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an apparatus being unable to control a hub even though having a host function to perform host operation when such the apparatus is connected to a data transfer control device.SOLUTION: A data transfer control device includes: first and second port circuits; a hub logic circuit controlling data transfer between the port circuits; a repeater circuit shaping and re-timing reception data; a first selector circuit connecting the first port circuit performing upstream port operation in a first mode to the hub logic circuit and connecting the first port circuit performing downstream port operation in a second mode to the repeater circuit; and a second selector circuit connecting the second port circuit performing the downstream port operation in the first mode to the hub logic circuit and connecting the second port circuit performing the upstream port operation in the second mode to the repeater circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
