The invention relates to a method and device (1) for adjusting the steering of an active steering system in a motor vehicle, comprising a device for detecting a steering angle (ΔL) adjusted on a steering actuating device by a driver, a sensor system (7) for detecting various motor-vehicle dynamic variables, a regulator (3), and an adjustment device (4) for displacing at least one steering rod (5). The adjusted steering angle (ΔL) can be transformed into a setpoint curve radius (rsoll) of said motor vehicle by means of a device (2), said setpoint curve radius being transmitted to the input of the regulator as a guide variable; a real curve radius (rist) can be calculated from the data of the sensor system (7) using a motor vehicle model (8) and transmitted to the input of the regulator as a regulating variable, the adjustment variable of the regulator (3) being a setpoint steering angle (Δsoll) for the setpoint curve radius (rsoll) which can be transmitted to the adjustment device for displacing the steering rod (5).
