<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly treat alkaline organic matter-containing waste water to be discharged when biodiesel fuel is produced by using cocking oil as a raw material in order to reduce the load to be imposed on the environment. <P>SOLUTION: A method for treating the waste water when biodiesel fuel is washed comprises the first step of mixing an acid in the waste water to adjust the pH of the waste water to≤3 in a pH adjustment tank 2, the second step of removing the oil phase surfaced/separated in an oil phase separation tank 9, the third step of adding an alkali and nutritious salt to the oil phase-removed waste water to adjust the pH to 6-8 in an adjustment tank 13, the fourth step of decomposing organic matter in a biological treatment tank 21 to which air is supplied, and the fifth step of cleaning the resulting waste water by using a mean for removing suspended matter in a sedimentation/separation tank 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
