A method and burner for low-temperature oxidating hydrogen, wherein the catalyzer arranged in the oxidation chamber of the burner, comprises a combined catalyzer, including a selfpriming catalyzer, for priming the oxidation of hydrogen in environment temperature air with a mixing ratio less than the flash point thereof and without supplying outside power, and one or more downstream arranged catalyzer for continuing oxidation. To prevent catalyzer pores from being clogged, the mixing air is purified and supplied through a compressor. The inventive burner, by operating under maximum safety conditions, can advantageously provide a heating source for hot water and/or heating systems, for example for a domestic use.
|
